How it works

  1. Enter your measurements

Waist, hips, length — each field has a picture showing where to measure. Inches or centimeters.

  2. Watch the pattern build

The pattern is drafted for your numbers in a second, with seam allowances, notches and grainlines, and checked automatically: seams that must match, do.

  3. Print and sew

Download a PDF tiled on US Letter or A4, a one-sheet PDF for a copy shop, or an SVG. Tape the pages together and cut.

Questions

Is it really free?

Yes. Every pattern is free to draft, download and print. There is no sign-up and no watermark. The site is supported by ads.

How is this different from a size chart pattern?

A regular pattern is graded to standard sizes, so you pick the closest one and alter it. Here the pattern is drafted from scratch for the numbers you enter — useful if you are between sizes or your proportions differ from the chart.

Can I print on US Letter?

Yes. Choose Letter or A4 at the top of the page. The first sheet has a 4 in (or 10 cm) test square: measure it before printing the rest to make sure the scale is 100%.

Inches or centimeters?

Both. Switch between cm and in at any time — the pattern is the same, only the numbers on screen and in the instructions change.

Do the patterns include seam allowance?

Yes, seam and hem allowances are added and shown as a second line around each piece. You can change their width in “Fit, ease and seams”.
